I'm a techie, a nerd, a geek if you will
But behind this screen, I have a secret to spill
While most think I'm a guy because of my likes
I'm actually a female, that's not a psych!
I love reading and gaming and software too
Programming and conventions, Hall B, and gnu.
I have my BS and MS in CS, it's true
But that doesn't mean I don't go shopping for shoes!
Playstation, Xbox and a Wii,
Come over to my house and you'll see
My gaming computer and monitor, I'm not a grinch
Think yours is big? Try thirty two inch!
Barely any females were ever in my classes
Perhaps I just couldn't see them, I put on my glasses
Turns out my major was filled mostly with guys
You may think that's nice but that's all lies
I wish there were more women, more ladies, more girls
In my field, in my job, we need more pearls
So to show we're not weird, we're not all trogs
To show engineering to females, I've started this blog.
